Dr. Shalini Garg (ELS-CHN)

Editor-in-Chief, Lancet Regional Health South East Asia

Shalini is based in Chennai, India. She completed a doctoral fellowship from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (India). She also has a Master of Public Health from Mahatma Gandhi University (India). Before joining The Lancet Group as the founding Editor-in-Chief of The Lancet Regional Health – Southeast Asia, Shalini worked in academia and publishing for two years. Shalini’s main areas of interest are Public health, health promotion, epidemiology, chronic diseases and behavioural sciences.
